MIRST
Guardian Airwaves (GA) believes technology has come to an era where multi-modal training is possible and can be affordable for all. Its products are designed by firefighters and first responders. We call our products MIRST – Mixed Immersive Reality Simulation Training
Inspired by “Only the Brave” film about the Granite Mountain Hotshots, an elite crew of firefighters from Prescott, Arizona, who lost 19 of 20 members while fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire in June 2013.
Guardian Airwaves is dedicating “Burning Bear” to their memory. If they knew better their terrain & wind conditions, perhaps they would be alive today.
Primary assessments of a 911 caller is vital to their survival. This VR training module gives the opportunity to dynamically interact with an AI avatar to practice primary assessment protocols and to correctly triage the patient.
Incident Fire Interface Virtual Reality (iFiVR) is a navigational simulation training experience where the firefighter is equally important in surviving a fire incident as well as trapped victims. iFiVR’s human computing interface (HCI) tracks the firefighter’s vitals and location to be relayed to her/his crew members and battalion chiefs.
FCR-VR immerses a trainee into a fire control room of a mid-size building that is on fire. People are trapped in the elevator. In a high-stress situation, decisions must be made quickly while remaining calm in an unfamiliar control room.
